Last checked: October 13, 2026. The Riddle Hospital imaging hours and phone numbers below come from Main Line Health’s own pages; confirm when you book.

Riddle Hospital imaging is on the hospital’s Media campus at 1068 West Baltimore Pike, and most outpatient X-rays, CT, MRI, ultrasound and mammograms are booked through Main Line Health scheduling at 484-580-1800. General X-ray takes walk-ins on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and the outpatient lab for blood work is on the first floor of Health Center 3, open weekdays 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday mornings. For the wider picture of the hospital, start with our Riddle Hospital guide.

Riddle Hospital imaging hours by test

Main Line Health lists separate hours for each type of study on its Riddle Hospital imaging page. Several third-party directories still show Riddle’s imaging as closed on weekends, which is wrong for CT, MRI, X-ray and some ultrasound slots.

How to schedule Riddle Hospital radiology

Main Line Health splits booking two ways. DEXA scans, mammograms, ultrasounds and X-rays can be scheduled online or by phone. CT, MRI and the other advanced studies are phone-only, at 484-580-1800. The Riddle Hospital location page also lists a radiology and MRI scheduling line, 484-227-2640, so you may see either number on paperwork from your doctor. The 484-580-1800 line is the one the imaging department itself publishes; if it doesn’t get you through, try the other.

Interventional radiology and MRI arthrograms have their own line, 484-580-4500, and PET/CT is booked at 484-337-2200, according to Main Line Health’s imaging locations sheet.

What they will ask you for

The scheduler can’t book you without these, per the imaging page:

  1. The order (script) from your doctor for the test
  2. The ICD-10 diagnosis code, if your insurer requires it
  3. A pre-certification number, if required. MRI, PET and PET/CT studies need one
  4. The type of study, and for CT or MRI whether it is with or without contrast
  5. Your insurance and the name of the referring doctor

Without the pre-certification number the scheduler can’t book an MRI, so call your doctor’s office a few days ahead and ask whether the authorization has come through before you call to book.

Where imaging and the lab are on the Riddle campus

Riddle’s campus is bigger than it looks from Route 1: a main hospital, the Patient Pavilion, four health center buildings and three parking garages. According to the hospital’s FY24 fact sheet, radiology, the pharmacy and the laboratory moved into the Patient Pavilion, which opened in July 2023. Main Line Health’s imaging page doesn’t name a building and tells patients to confirm the location of their study when they schedule, so ask the scheduler where to check in.

Outpatient blood draws are a different stop. Main Line Health’s lab locations list puts the Riddle draw station in Health Center 3, 1st floor.

Riddle Hospital outpatient lab hours

The Riddle outpatient lab in Health Center 3 is open Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, 7:30 a.m. to noon. It is closed Sundays and holidays.

Walk-ins are accepted for routine blood work. The exception is glucose tolerance testing: the two-hour and three-hour tests need an appointment, which you can book online. Bring the lab order from your doctor and your insurance card.

The labs page lists 484-227-3022 for the Riddle site (fax 484-227-4269). The hospital’s location page gives 484-227-3301 for the outpatient laboratory and uses 484-227-3022 for outpatient registration. If one line rings out, try the other.

Other Main Line Health labs nearby

If the Riddle lab is busy, Main Line Health runs three other walk-in labs in or near Delaware County:

All three also appear on Main Line Health’s list of outpatient imaging sites, so some scans can be done there instead of at the hospital. Ask the scheduler which tests each site offers before you pick one over Riddle Hospital imaging.

Parking and paying

Self-parking is in the East, West and South garages. Valet runs at the Pavilion Lobby from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and at Health Center 3 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. A handful of free surface spaces sit behind Health Center 3, first come, first served. The emergency department lot is for ER patients only.

Garage rates posted by the hospital: free for the first 30 minutes, $5 up to three hours, $7 up to eight hours. Seniors and people with disabilities pay a flat $3 and veterans park free, with ID shown at a greeter desk. The garages take cards only, and garage clearance is 6 feet 10 inches.

Payment at the imaging desk and the lab is card-only too. Main Line Health has moved its point-of-service locations to a cashless, checkless model, and its imaging page gives October 5, 2026 as the switch date. There is a cash-to-card kiosk in the main lobby if you only have cash.

Getting your results and images

Results go to the doctor who ordered the test and to your Main Line Health MyChart account. The MyChart FAQ says routine lab and radiology results are released within 48 hours, while CT, MRI and PET results and sensitive lab tests can take up to five days. Main Line Health also warns that a national shortage of radiologists means imaging reads may take longer than usual.

For a copy of the actual images, for a second opinion or a new specialist, Main Line Health takes a signed authorization form by mail, email or fax (610-356-3167). Its medical records page says the first request for diagnostic images is free and a second costs $25.

If your older scans were done at Crozer

Many patients who moved to Riddle after the Crozer hospitals closed have earlier X-rays, CTs or mammograms on file at Crozer-Chester, Taylor or Springfield. Don’t assume Riddle’s radiologists can see them. Your new radiologist will often want the old images to compare, especially for mammograms, so request them early. Our guide on how to get your old Crozer records covers who holds them now and the deadline, and our note on the former Crozer patient portal explains why it isn’t the route anymore.
