The emergency department line

Numbers that only work from a hospital phone
However, several services have no outside number. Riddle’s directory says to dial 0 from a hospital phone for the operator, the chaplain, interpreters, security and speech- and hearing-impaired calling assistance. The patient guide adds that any hospital phone can dial 711 for “Condition H,” which brings a nursing supervisor to the bedside when a patient or family member feels a concern isn’t being handled. If you need an interpreter, including sign language, the guide says to tell your nurse.

The 2025 patient guide says Riddle has no set visiting hours; instead, family and friends can visit around the clock as long as the visit doesn’t get in the way of care, and staff can limit visits for clinical reasons.
