02 — History
First, Taylor opened in Ridley Park in 1910, and then it joined the Crozer-Keystone Health System in 1997. Later, it was part of the system when Prospect Medical Holdings bought it in 2016, and when it took the name Crozer Health in 2020.
Then, in January 2025, Prospect filed for bankruptcy. After rescue talks failed, Taylor's emergency room and hospital closed on April 26, 2025, a few days before Crozer-Chester. In total, about 2,651 Crozer Health employees lost their jobs across the system. Read what happened at Crozer-Chester or see the full Crozer closure timeline.
03 — What's next
First, the bankruptcy court approves the sale of the Taylor campus to KQT Aikens Partners, led by developer Todd Strine, for $1 million. Later, the same group also completes its purchase of the former Springfield Hospital, in March 2026.
Then Strine says the campus could be operating by the end of 2026.
Meanwhile, the owners rename it Ridley Park Medical Campus and market it nationally with Avison Young. Specifically, their plan is physician practices and outpatient surgery centers under one health system.
However, nobody has publicly named a health system or operator yet, and nothing on the campus is open to patients. So these are plans, and we'll update this page when anything opens.
