Mercy Fitzgerald's emergency chief told the Philadelphia Inquirer that volume has been rising since Crozer-Chester closed. So for minor problems, urgent care or your own doctor may be faster.
Also, in January 2026, Pennsylvania gave the hospital $2 million to add staff.
