Crozer-Chester Medical Center and Taylor Hospital closed in 2025. This is an independent guide, not affiliated with Crozer Health, Prospect Medical or any hospital.
Hospitals in Delaware County, PA
Since Crozer-Chester Medical Center and Taylor Hospital closed in 2025, only three hospitals in Delaware County still run 24/7 emergency rooms. However, none of them is a trauma center. Two other former Crozer hospitals closed earlier: see what happened to the old Drexel Hill hospital (DCMH).

02 — Other care
Until 2025, Crozer-Chester was the county's only trauma center. As a result, paramedics now usually take badly injured patients to trauma centers such as Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in Philadelphia or Christiana Hospital in Newark, Delaware. In every case, paramedics make that call.
MVP Recovery STAR Center, 2200 Providence Ave, Chester, PA 19013. It also offers help with mental health and drug or alcohol crises, open 24/7. Phone 855-MVP-2410 (855-687-2410).
In 2025, ChristianaCare also took over Crozer's outpatient centers in Glen Mills, Havertown, Broomall and Media. So check ChristianaCare's site for the services at each.
The Delaware County Health Department Wellness Line, (484) 276-2100, also answers non-emergency health questions. In addition, the county lists it as available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
